Boston Medical Center - South (BMC-South) is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their emergency team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a stable collegial staff of Emergency Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practitioners providing care to approximately 65,000 patients annually. The position involves diverse clinical experience across more than 22 communities, exposure to a wide range of medical emergencies including trauma and cardiac events, and working within the only designated Level III Trauma Center in EMS Region V. Responsibilities include obtaining detailed patient histories, performing thorough physical examinations, delivering expert emergency care, executing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, coordinating tests and consultations, implementing treatment plans, advocating for patients, educating patients and families, preparing patients for discharge, engaging in continuous learning, providing leadership and mentorship, and participating in community health improvement initiatives. Qualifications require a minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with certification or a master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program, and preferably a current Massachusetts license to practice. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively with emergency physicians and residents.
