Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with recent Emergency Department experience? Join a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Medicine team just minutes from New York City and earn up to $220,000 annually with flexible scheduling options.
This is a full-time, 1099 contractor position with a supportive, collaborative medical staff in a hospital-based Emergency Department. You'll play a critical role in managing acute cases, stabilizing patients, and helping drive quality outcomes in a high-volume clinical environment.
Provide acute care in a high-volume Emergency Department setting
Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations and diagnostic assessments
Initiate treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies
Collaborate with emergency physicians, nurses, and specialists to ensure coordinated care
Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Work independently within your scope while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience as an NP or PA
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Licensure: Active or eligible for New Jersey NP or PA license
Certifications:
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required
ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) – Preferred, not required
Shifts: 12-hour shifts; day, mid, and night options available
Day: 7 AM – 7 PM
Mid: 10 AM – 10 PM / 2 PM – 2 AM
Night: 5 PM – 5 AM
Monthly Commitment: 12–15 shifts per month (flexible)
Pay Structure:
$100/hour for first 12 shifts per month
$110/hour for additional shifts
Annualized Pay:
12 shifts/month = ~$172,000/year
15 shifts/month = Up to $220,000/year
