The Email and Content Marketing Specialist will have a passion for higher education marketing that begins with students and their success. The candidate will support our college and university partners' communications to prospective and current students. The successful candidate will develop the capabilities of the available marketing platforms, manage a multi-channel customer experience via email, and collaborate with the technology, creative, and content teams to develop successful messaging, templates, landing pages, and campaign flow. Critical to success will be a focus on understanding the student persona and an ability to increase engagement through consistent and comprehensive messaging to students for our partner programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud email marketing system to build campaign distribution lists that support email segmentation and automated email tactics.
• Run queries, pull information, and send communications to a subset of subscribers.
• Utilize Salesforce and Mogli SMS/Text systems to build text messaging campaigns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine targeted campaign lists based on Salesforce criteria.
• Receive content from a variety of stakeholders within the organization including Enrollment Services, Student Success, and marketing teams, and execute ad-hoc and automated email marketing initiatives utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud (including coding, dynamic content, segmentation, etc.).
• Collaborate with the internal marketing team on content projects to support partner websites and marketing initiatives.
• Perform copywriting/QA/proofreading/testing/editing, scheduling/deployment, and campaign analysis. We pride ourselves on quality and accuracy in all our communications.
• Adhere to email and SMS marketing best practices and ensure marketing messages are conveyed clearly and customer-focused, using persuasive calls-to-action, proper form and templates, message relevancy to audiences and segments, and responsive design.
• Assist in the execution of testing and optimization strategies for continued performance improvement.
• Work with management to review campaign performance KPIs, provide feedback, and recommend solutions for improvements.
• Stay current on email marketing, SMS marketing, and digital marketing trends and best practices.

Additional Skills/Requirements:

• Good attitude, growth mindset, and commitment to the Elsmere values.
• Minimum bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Experience in a high-volume email marketing execution role.
• Email marketing experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and proactive.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working within a project management system (JIRA, Workfront, etc.)
• Close attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience preferred.
• List creation and audience segmentation preferred.
• Salesforce Marketing certificates are a plus
• Experience with graphic design and HTML preferred.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, SaaS, MS Teams.

Location: Denver Preferred

Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000
