Overview This position seeks a skilled operator with extensive experience operating drones via Remote Control to join a Research and Development team working on safety-related technologies. The role includes mission planning, lightweight maintenance duties, limited operation readiness activities, and logistics planning. The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology. The organization offers competitive salary and comprehensive medical health package. Responsibilities Operate drones via Remote Control as part of the R&D team. Assist in development and test of cutting-edge safety-related technologies. Plan missions and perform lightweight maintenance tasks. Conduct limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed. Support mission execution with attention to safety and detail. Qualifications 2+ years of Remote-Control pilot experience with excellent coordination. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, stand/walk for up to 8–10 hours (with breaks), and repeatedly push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Experience leading small teams. Willingness to travel up to 75% of the year. Valid Driver's License and ability to meet Client driver eligibility criteria. MVR and drug test as part of background check process. Preferred Skills Experience in the commercial UAS industry. Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar role. Current US fixed-wing or rotorcraft pilots certificate. Excellent business communications and reporting skills. Employment Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level. Employment type: Contract. Location: Austin, TX.
