We are looking for an organized and proactive Dispatcher to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. In this Contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations by managing communication systems and coordinating transportation services. This position requires excellent multitasking skills and a strong commitment to customer service. This is a 100% onsite role, a split shift, 6am-9am and 2pm-5pm.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate transportation schedules to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.

• Operate multi-line phone systems and two-way radios to manage communications effectively.

• Respond promptly to inquiries from public schools and other stakeholders, providing accurate and helpful information.

• Monitor and track the status of transportation vehicles, ensuring adherence to schedules.

• Address and resolve customer service issues with professionalism and empathy.

• Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities and transportation logs.

• Collaborate with drivers and other team members to address operational challenges.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations during all dispatch activities.

• Communicate updates and changes in schedules to relevant parties in a timely manner.

• Proven experience in dispatching or a related role.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
• Familiarity with public school transportation systems is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and two-way radios.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and solve problems effectively.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
