Job Summary The Director of Dining Services is an energetic, entrepreneurial leader responsible for the successful operation of Dining Services. This role involves managing client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and all foodservice activities, including retail, cafeteria, and catering, ensuring quality, sanitation, infection control, and safety standards are met. Key Responsibilities Manage salaried managers and hourly associates within the Food Service Department. Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account. Hire, train, assign work, evaluate performance, and handle employee relations. Prepare and manage the annual budget. Utilize company systems for reporting on inventory, cash flow, production, payroll, etc. Ensure food preparation and presentation adhere to standards, sanitation, and safety guidelines, including HACCP and OSHA. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus four years of relevant experience. 5-7 years of foodservice management experience, with inventory and purchasing knowledge. Strong knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, and cost controls. Experience with P&L accountability or contract-managed services is desirable. Leadership, management, and coaching skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate across various levels including management, clients, and staff. Financial, budgeting, and accounting skills.
