divh2Construction Accountant/h2pCorporate: Acquisitions Development/ppStatus: Exempt/ppReports to: Construction Accounting Manager/ppRevision date: 1/25/2022/ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliPerform month-end construction accounting responsibilities for assigned portfolio of projects actively under construction./liliPrepare and submit draw packages to lenders and finance agencies to secure all financing for assigned portfolio./liliEnsure the timely payment of all contractors and vendors within assigned portfolio./liliPrepare and report out on project forecasts for assigned portfolio./liliPrepare and submit 10% carryover allocations and cost certifications in accordance with state finance agency requirements./liliPrepare GAAP cost certification conversions for assigned portfolio./liliAssist Construction Manager on equity installment funding tracking/liliPerforms other duties as assigned, including ad hoc and construction period reporting./liliAssumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned./liliManages relationships, both internally and externally exercising appropriate communication and interpersonal skills./liliCompletes assigned training./li/ulh3Expectations/h3ulliDemonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, provides leadership as a role model to promote a team approach, and participates in appropriate problem-solving methods./liliAll responsibilities are carried out in a manner consistent with National Church Residences Core Values of Mission, Compassion, Leadership and Professionalism/liliMust adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences Employee Information Guide (EIG) as well as any facility handbook including but not limited to corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulh3Preferred Skills/h3pThe ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a leader comfortable working in a fast paced and demanding environment. Excel skills and working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web. Real estate/development knowledge preferred. Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively. Applicant must possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. The preferred candidate will have experience in the Real Estate Development industry with specialized experience in affordable housing and LIHTCs./ph3Job Specification Sheet/h3pstrongEducation:/strong Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study required/ppstrongExperience:/strong 5+ years of accounting experience./ppstrongMental:/strong Must have good communication, comprehension, computer and interpersonal skills.
