MUST HAVES:

10+ years of Cobol development and maintenance experience 5+ years of Stratus experience 5+ years of integrating COBOL application onto Stratus Based systems Description: Skilled COBOL Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications on mainframe systems. Responsibilities include coding, debugging, testing, and deploying COBOL programs to support business processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability. Must have strong knowledge of JCL, DB2, and system Stratus Technologies is known for its highly reliable, fault-tolerant server solutions, often used in mission-critical environments like financial services, telecommunications, and healthcare. These servers frequently support applications developed in COBOL, as COBOL is widely used in such industries for legacy systems. Key associations include: Mainframe-like environments: Stratus servers often host legacy COBOL applications that require high availability. Migration and modernization: Organizations use Stratus solutions to modernize COBOL-based systems without compromising reliability. Integration: COBOL applications running on Stratus systems may integrate with modern platforms, ensuring seamless operation in hybrid environments.
