Job Description

Our client, a leader in the insurance industry, is looking to hire a skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a high-leverage, high-visibility executive role within an established and profitable carrier. Reporting directly to the CEO, youll be responsible for financial close, regulatory reporting, FP&A, corporate strategy, treasury and taxation. Only proven leaders with a track record of progressive responsibility in the insurance sector will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead the finance department, ensuring that strategic and operational financial goals are met.
• Manage and oversee the companys financial operations including treasury functions, liquidity forecasting, and capital structure planning.
• Ensure compliance with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) regulatory reporting requirements for property and casualty insurance.
• Develop and implement finance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial management and to reduce financial risk.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports to the company stakeholders.

Key Skills Required:

• Required: A bachelors degree from an accredited college/university; Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management and/or related fields.
• Required: 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, with increasing scope and impact in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, financial systems, treasury and taxation.
• Preferred: Financial management experience within the property and casualty insurance industry.
• Beneficial: MBA, Masters in Finance and/or relevant designations (e.g., a CPA, CMA or CFA).
