Job Title: Category Manager – Commodities (Food & Beverage)

Location: Rowland Hts., CA or Las Vegas, NV (HQ)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Category Manager – Commodities to own our high-volume dry goods and commodity categories (cooking oils, rice, sugar, cornstarch, and related products). This is a mid-level role with high visibility and ownership of ~$60M annual spend.

You will:

• Lead supplier negotiations and own vendor relationships as the face of HF Foods
• Manage key commodity categories across multiple DCs, ensuring service and cost targets are met
• Collaborate with distribution center teams to support day-to-day needs and solve supply issues
• Support the launch of private label products and help scale our centralized sourcing strategy
• Partner cross-functionally with logistics, operations, and finance to drive continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in food or beverage purchasing ; foodservice or distribution preferred
• Multi-DC Sourcing experience
• Experience managing commodities like oils, rice, dry goods, sugar, or starches
• Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management
• Experience supporting multi-site or national purchasing efforts
• Mandarin/Chinese language skills are a huge plus , but not required
• Comfortable with occasional travel to distribution centers (Los Angeles and North Carolina)
