Assistant Professor - Nutrition Science and Health Behavior - ( 2502353 )

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Teach graduate level nutrition courses in a combined MS/DI program.
• Serve on department and school committees.
• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments of patients/clients using evidence-based methodologies, develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans and provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for various medical conditions.
• Monitor patient/client progress and modify nutrition interventions as needed, and document all nutrition interventions according to professional standards and healthcare facility requirements.
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Perform related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• MS or MPH in Nutritional Sciences or closely related field.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Doctorate degree in nutrition or any health-related field.
  
• Collaboration with dietetics education programs including teaching experience.
  

Work Experience:

• At least five years full-time clinical work experience post RDN credentialing.
  
• Clinical work in an academic health science center or similar institution.
  

Skills/Competency:

• Excellent written/oral communication skills.
