Your Role

SAS Flight Factory is seeking to grow our elite team with an exceptional Assembly Technician. As an Assembly Technician on this team, you will ensure a quality product through robust assembly, test operations and deburr tasks. You will be part of a successful team working in a hands-on fast-paced, dynamic environment. The candidate selected for this position will support our aerospace customers hardware needs with a combination of wiring assembly, mechanical assembly, and deburr skills. This position reports directly to the Assembly/ Deburr Supervisor.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

To qualify for this role, we require candidates to have the following:

  • 2+ years of applicable experience
  • Understanding of the principles, concepts, and methods of harness assembly, mechanical assembly, deburr, and testing operations in an aerospace environment
  • Must be proficient using common inspection equipment - calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gage, etc
  • Ability to consistently execute assembly and deburr processes while maintaining 5S standards
  • Installation of hardware, such as helicoils, rivets, bushings, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Maintains an environment of trust, accountability, and teamwork
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Management, Engineering, and Operators
  • In addition, we are most interested in candidates who also have:
  • Specialized training and experience, and/or an Associate degree from a technical school
  • Experience with laser marking, soldering, high voltage testing, and deburr tooling
  • Experience in root cause and corrective action techniques
  • Sound judgment, high energy, and creative
  • Knowledge of and experience in MIL-spec practices
  • CPI_J-STD-001H Certification with Space addendum
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620D Certification with Space addendum

How You Will Be Rewarded

The salary range for this role is $20.19 to $27.88 per hour. Compensation is determined by the candidate’s work experience, education, training, and relevant skills.
