Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Load & Unload
Inspect products for defects before, during, and after coating.
Ensure proper masking and coating coverage.
Load/unload castings using proper hooks and hangers per PDS.
Apply coatings per specifications; perform touch-ups with brush or spray.
Identify and address coating issues (e.g., light coverage, pullback).
Maintain clean and organized workspace.
Position finished products per customer specs.
Clean booths, guns, and hoppers; perform changeovers for color/gloss variations.
Powder Applicator
Operate controls to start paint flow, conveyor, and spray equipment.
Monitor gauges and adjust valves to maintain proper pressure and flow.
Set and maintain paint tank temperatures.
Spray Applicator
Perform color changes as needed.
Apply coatings to parts; ensure color match with schedule.
Inspect raw castings for defects prior to coating.
Maintain cleanliness of all spray equipment and surrounding areas.
Dispose of waste powder and return reusable material to storage.
Wear required PPE (e.g., respirator, Tyvek suit).
Masker/Detailer
Inspect parts for defects pre- and post-paint.
Apply and secure masking materials as directed.
Remove masking and verify coverage accuracy.
Apply rust preventative to unpainted areas.
Package parts to customer requirements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior powder coating experience preferred.
Manufacturing experience required.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, operate hoists, and work in high-heat environments.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Skills & Competencies
Quality- and detail-focused; meets productivity standards.

Observes safety protocols and uses equipment properly.
Communicates clearly; reads and follows basic written instructions.
Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities required.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, and talk/hear.
Must lift/move 25–75 lbs as needed.
Requires full range of vision including color and depth perception.
Work Environment
Exposure to mechanical parts, airborne particles, and high heat.
Noise level is typically loud.
Proper PPE and safety practices are required at all times.
