Art Therapist – Fully Licensed (Part-Time W-2)
Pay: $65 per client session (fee-for-service W-2)
Starting Caseload: 10–15 clients with opportunity to grow to full-time
Setting: In-person & virtual (office-based and telehealth)
Schedule: Flexible with your schedule
Position Summary
The Art Therapist provides art-based and integrative mental health therapy to flexible populations including adolescents and adults. The therapist is responsible for assessment, treatment planning, and timely documentation within the practice EHR while collaborating with administrative and billing staff. Services may be delivered in person or virtually with full schedule flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual art therapy sessions to 10–15 assigned clients to start
- Integrate creative interventions with CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, or other modalities
- Complete SOAP notes and treatment plans in the EHR within required time frames
- Collaborate with the billing team regarding authorizations, coding, and credentialing
- Coordinate care with families and outside providers when appropriate
- Participate in case consultation and team meetings as scheduled
Qualifications – Required
- Must be fully licensed in the state of Maryland (LCPC, LCSW-C, and LCPAT)
- Master’s degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Active NPI Type 1 or ability to obtain
- Knowledge of HIPAA, ethics, and outpatient therapy standards
- Experience with emotional regulation and creative clinical interventions
- Ability to provide both in-person and telehealth services with a flexible schedule
